What is this website?
ALL CAPS the website is a place where I can share my perspectives and ideas on the AEC business in general and the architecture business in particular (for ALL CAPS, LLC the business, go here). I have no shortage of opinions and experiences to draw from — I’m a veritable chocolate fountain continuously pouring out stuff about this industry that you crave, so go ahead stick your finger into the cascading stream when no one’s looking, and then lick it clean and go back for more.
Where did I come from?
I’m an architect whose been in this business for over 25 years and during that time I’ve been fortunate to work on a wide variety of commercial architecture. I’ve worked in a traditional architecture firm setting, then on the corporate side I’ve worked as an in-house design professional for a restaurant company, and now I work for myself out of my little home office in my old-ass house in Minneapolis: City of Lakes™️.
Where else am I?
My first articles were for Jared Bank’s outstanding blog Shoegnome — those are classics that I’ll reference from time to time so be sure to have a look at where it all started. ALL CAPS also has a Tumblr, which is where I started writing for my own place on the internet a while back and now hosts mostly weird design stuff that I find interesting. Mostly, I spend a lot of time on Twitter and most of what I tweet is about architecture-y things, and I frequently go off the rails, much to my followers’ delight.
